The talk will cover; Reasons for the design choices, Asphalt and PMB membrane laboratory testing and information on previous bridges where the system had been installed together with the sprayed membrane material handling, installation challenges and techniques adopted to overcome them.

This record setting iconic structure is breathtaking to look at and the presentation provides a unique insight into an innovative cost effective asphalt based waterproofing system to the concrete deck of an Extrados bridge.
