The next generation of asphalt surfacing – recent road trials, and automation in testing and monitoring
The presentation will provide updates on the recent finding from 2 road trials of the next generation asphalt surface course and the introduction of automation in inspection, testing and monitoring of road construction. It will also present how the findings from these trials might lead to the development of guidance documents and specifications for the design, testing and use of the next generation of asphalt mixtures. This work was part of the collaborative research project funded by Highways England, MPA and Eurobitume UK.
