IAT Annual Conference 2023 - Building Roads Sustainably

Hosted by our South East Branch, the venue is the Courtyard by Marriott at Heathrow Airport, London.
In similar format to previous Conferences, Wednesday 17th of May will allow social options of Golf at nearby Thorney Park or a tour of Brooklands Museum, where various transport and motorsport attractions are located.
The President’s Dinner, on the evening of 17th May will be the last social event of Brian Downes term as IAT President. As one of our sectors best networking opportunities, members and guests can attend the drinks reception and dinner followed by entertainment by guest speaker, Paul Sinha from ITV quiz show, The Chase.
The main Conference proceedings take place in the same venue on Thursday 18th May, with a full programme of presentations and panel discussion sessions throughout the day.
We are delighted that the keynote address will be given by Stephen Elderkin, Director of Environmental Sustainability at National Highways.
The Conference sessions will examine how Policy, Design and Implementation can deliver sustainable road construction and maintenance through whole-life carbon reduction and best practice.

Each panel discussion session will be hosted and facilitated by Miles Watkins who we know will stimulate debate around the preceding presentations as well as encouraging healthy audience feedback.
