More details The long-term performance of bituminous materials incorporated PMBs remains a topic insufficiently addressed or critically examined. Most existing studies on PMBs are conducted in controlled laboratory environment. This review sheds light on independent findings from different in-service pavements, each confirming that the influence of polymer modification on the rheological properties are not sustained over the lifespan of pavements. The review revealed critical questions regarding the long-term performance of PMBs and calls into the need for in-situ assessment of the effectiveness of PMBs.
