More details | John will take a look at the geo-political and socio- economic forces that are changing the refining landscape and so fundamentally altering the supply of bitumen to all parts of the globe. The talk will show how events that are in far off places in the world can have a significant effect on bitumen in the Europe and the UK in particular as well then going on to look at how this changing landscape is necessitating new ways to engineer bitumen to deliver the properties that we will require in the future. Finally some of the new technology that Shell has been working with to help answer the questions being asked by all these changes will be presented. |
