More details |
The new edition of BS 594987 will be published later this year. The Committee that writes it has made a number of changes. Interested individuals have had the opportunity to provide input. Do we now have the perfect Standard? Dr Robert Hunter will consider various elements of the Standard and give his view on the content. Robert is a consulting engineer who is a great supporter of the Institute. He has been involved in asphalts and pavements for more years than he would care to admit. Those who know Robert will realise that he cares deeply about Standards believing that it is only by setting exacting requirements for laying asphalts that clients will get an asphalt with excellent levels of surface regularity, skid resistance, durability and all the other features that make an asphalt pavement the best option for specifiers. So is it now perfect or is it capable of improvement? Come along and participate in a discussion about the favourite Standard of every member of the IAT - BS 594987. |
